As human beings, we tend to go through different emotions. And it’s really great when we’re doing good; when we’re happy, excited and in love. But we also feel down, which is completely natural. Sometimes getting back into a happy place can be difficult. Why? Because it’s a lot easier to mope around and feel bad about yourself, than to smile through adversity.
But we’ve decided to do you a favor. We’ve assembled some of the best feel-good TV shows that you can binge on, when you need a good pick-me-up. Here are seven TV shows that will make you feel better.
1. RuPaul’s Drag Race
If anyone knows what it’s like to struggle, it’s the LGBTQ community. RuPaul’s Drag Race shows us the struggles which some of these gay and transgender men have been through and that despite it all, they can always find love and friendship.
If you can’t love yourself, then how the hell you gon’ love somebody else? Can I get an amen? RuPaul
2. Master of None
Viewers have said that this show emphasizes the fact that life isn’t easy. And that the best thing to do, is to try to push through the bad times (as hard as it may be), and enjoy the ride we call life.
Two brothers working together to fight off demons? Twist our arms if that doesn’t sound like mostly everybody’s life. Supernatural teaches us to never give up, even if the odds are against you. And that family is the most important thing in this world.
Sherlock is the kind of show that will mentally engage you to the point where you temporarily forget about your woes. The puzzles and plot twists will have you thinking and trying to work the problems out in your head. When the episode is over, you’ll realize that you don’t have to spend all your time worrying about what’s wrong in your life.
Black-ish the kind of show that isn’t afraid to tackle difficult topics. The great thing about it is that the show does so in ways that are guaranteed to make you laugh; something that you need if you’re going to feel better.
6. Chewing Gum
Chewing gum is an amazing British comedy (available on Netflix), that follows the life of a twenty-four year old virgin named Tracey. Apart from the showing being crazy funny, we can guarantee you that your life cannot be as bad as Tracey’s is. She has an intense, religious mother, a crazy sister, a nymphomaniac for a best friend and Tracey herself is trying to lose her V card, to her maybe-gay fiancé.
7. The Ellen DeGeneres Show
Ellen is hands-down the best feel-good day time talk show on the planet. To start off, she gets her audience dancing, and there’s nothing that a good dance session can’t cure. Ellen always has the most entertaining acts on her show. Some of them are funny as hell and others will touch your heart. Either way, you’ll definitely feel better.
